Distance of camera
Brief details
Why chosen/effect
long shots
Captures more of the background and
gets the to see more of the person.
When they showed the track field.
They chose the effect because the viewer
would be able to see the track in its whole
instead of the fine detail.
medium shots
Captures the general image of the person.
When the the little girl was telling Greg "If
you don't win, get there next okay?"
They chose the effect because the viewer
would be able to see the girl and the Greg
in the frame instead of just one of them.

big close up shots
Captures the in-depth detail of the person.
When the guy was riding at the beginning
and the camera was on his helmet really up
close.
They chose the effect because the viewer
would be able to see how what he sees or
experiences while riding on the track.

Type of shot/movement
Brief details
Why chosen/effect
Pan
The movement of the camera from left to right
or right to left. When the motorcycles were
started the camera moved to keep the focus
on the motorcycles.
They chose the effect because the viewer
would be able to see from a moving motion
how fast and where the motorcycles were
going.
Tilt
The tilting of the camera from a view from the
bottom up or from the up bottom. When the guy
was standing with his wife, and he was talking
about the turns in the track.
They chose the effect because the viewer
would be able to see what the people would
look like from the bottom up.
High-Angle shot
Low-Angel shot
High-Angle is when the camera angle is facing
upward.When the camera person was
looking up to witness the helicopter above the
race track. Low-Angle is when the camera angle
is facing down. When the camera man was staring
down at the road below.
They chose the effect because the viewer
would be able to see from an aerial view
with the High-Angle. The chose the effect
because the viewer would be able to make
the person being viewed from a Low-Angle
would put more emphasis on the person.
Point of View
The different perspectives taken from different
people. When Greg was riding the motorcycle with
the camera on him which was from his view while
riding on the rode.
They chose the effect because the viewer
would be able to see the scene from different
perspectives and see somethings that the
couldn't see before.

Type of Edit
Brief Details
Why chosen/effect
Cut
When the scene changes immediately with out a
fade, dissolve, or wipe. When Greg was holing hands
with his wife then the scene changes to his daughter
on his shoulder.
They chose the effect because the viewer
would be able to see the next scene as if it
were a part of the scene before so it would
be like they go with each other.
Fade
When the scene slowly disappears from black into
another scene. When Greg was looking at the laptop
and the scene faded into a scene with some dude.
They chose the effect because the viewer
would be able to see the see transition itself
from one scene to another not all of a sudden.
Dissolve
When the scene slowly breaks apart from the middle.
When they were interviewing Rhys Millen and then
they finished.
They chose the effect because the viewer
would be able to see that there is a transition
between the two scenes where the scene is
slowly going away but you cant still see it.
Wipe
When the scene quickly switches to the next one due
to some sort of distraction. When Greg was getting on
the motorcycle ,and they wipe the newspaper in front
of the camera.
They chose the effect because the viewer
would be able to see the next scene without
noticing it changed because they would be too
distracted looking at the object used to wipe.
